Suggestion - remove galaxy background

I suggest removing or adding a new setting in the world view to turn off galaxy background and also the sun. Because i think this is the reason why its so lag when travelling in the world in full speed without settlement.

I highly doubt its the "galaxy" background or the sun that is causing the lag.
By all appearance its little more than a UVMapped image, a flare, and a single light source shining against a single 3D sphere. If that was any source of lag then Rimworld would be literally decades behind in terms of rendering capabilities.

When I zoom out and look at the world, and how the light goes from east to west, it makes me feel dizzy (kinda makes my head spin).

Could I suggest an option to NOT lock the camera with the planet, and instead leave it spinning while the background remains in place?
