Electrical connectivity through highly advanced Walls & Floors

So, fallout 4, one of the DLCs gains you access to a incomplete vault that you can build with your own design. The takeaway is that, once electricity is connected to a wall of these "Floors/Walls" your entire structure now has access to this power-grid.

I want, there to be a possible, but expensive path above the current power-lines. You start with power-lines, they explode all of the time, they look ugly if you put them on the ground, they start forest fires and hot-pockets, etc.

So, why not a "higher tier" of power connectivity, which is "space-aged" walls/floors which, once connected to a power source, allows power to flow freely, without power-lines...kind of a "built-in" power line if you will.

And additionally, I would like this to not only be built in, but less susceptible to the problems that the current power lines have.
