Visiting other faction locations.

Okay, so I don't know if this was planned with the new implementation but is there any chance we could add the ability to visit faction locations? Or maybe NPC's taking 'vacations' to nonhostile ones, or even invade them? It would be a very neat implementation, tell me what you think.

It has been discussed a few times, but I'm not sure of Tynan's opinion on the subject. Personally I think the ability to take colonists on trips to instanced NPC locations would be a great way of keeping the late game interesting, and acquiring resources without waiting for the right trader to happen to show up. It would also be awesome to have the colonists in more varied combat situations than just defending your base.

Well I sure hope we can make it happen, that would be fantastic. I sure would like to hear his opinion on it though, but I would guess he's pretty busy so I'm not looking for it. :p
