Force target selection??

Hey all, I've been trying to find a way to force target selection.  This would be used for things like a newly spawned pawn, item, building etc or for an event that was triggered by a specific pawn.  I've tried using the Selector and SelectorUtility methods but nothing seems to work.  If anyone has any experience in doing this, would appreciate any info.
