Description


This mod adds several items, starring a new, growable crop, the Banana Tree! (Side effects include bananas.)

Raw bananas are edible, and we're working on expanding this mod to create a whole Bananaverse™ of mods! (This isn't actually trademarked, please don't sue me.)








New Addition: Bananades!
You've heard somewhere that you could make these bananas into something a bit more... lethal.
Combining 500 bananas and 1 frag grenade weapon at a machining table creates the Bananade™! (This isn't trademarked either, please DO NOT sue me.)

New Addition: Research!
You can now choose to spend your free time with Beth (for some reason) to attempt to understand her madness. (ResearchPal highly recommended to avoid overlaps!)

Banana Oatmeal
If you'd like a cool, new growable and harvestable crop, download the Oats! mod that I made. While you're at it, why not download the add-on mod for both the Bananas! and the Oats! mod that lets you make Banana Oatmeal?

Vegetable Garden Compatibility Patch
If you'd like to use both this mod and Vegetable Garden by dismarzero, check out the compatibility patch that Chrscool8 made!

How to install!
- Unzip the contents and place them in your RimWorld/Mods folder.

Welcome Ragnarok9x and Chris Bradel, I'm loving your banana theme, absolutely LOVING IT!!! I can't wait to see what banana stuff you guys come up with next!

BTW I absolutely fucking love banana pudding with extra vanilla wafers. I'll eat a banana a day too if I have them. I love the bananas in the Runts candy, banana Quaker oatmeal is awesome but it's some bullshit because you only get 2 in a box of 10 because it only comes in the variety pack and not it's own dedicated pack, damn ridiculous if you ask me.

EDIT: So what are some numbers on the bananas, how many per harvest, how long do they take to grow, ideal temperature, nutrition raw, how many for a banana meal, buff from meal and/or what's special about it, how long before rotting, etc.?

Chris, what the hell man, upload the rest of your mods on here! I want to be able to be a chicken farmer with only a few chickens, I'm working with limited resources here and this would be a great mod. Or all of your egg mods! That along with Wild Animal Sex it will be great for hunting non stop with so many baby animals everywhere.

Banana trees currently yield 15 bananas per harvest.
They take 2.5 days to grow to maturity.
The ideal temperature should be anywhere temperate (though we're currently working on this!).
Banana meals take 2 bananas.
There is currently no buff for eating a banana meal (other than being really happy), but the nutrition value of a banana meal is 1.0.
Bananas take 3.5 days before rotting.
Banana Meals take 4 days before rotting.

Update! It's been brought to my attention that Vegetable Garden also has a form of bananas, so to allow users to run both and pick and choose their favorite parts of each mod, I've whipped up some easy conversion recipes!
