New here, did a quick check of the suggestions and didn't find anything similar, but I could've easily done something wrong, so sorry if this already exists.

It would be extremely helpful if there was an option to make certain items always forbidden. Specifically when moving up food tiers, I have tons of simple meals and think I have the materials to support fine ones. However, I need to watch my cooks and place each new stack of meals as forbidden so my colonists will finish the simple meals first. Else they will just sit there taking up space forever. It would be nice if I could just mark fine meals as forbidden so as soon as they are done being made and placed in storage no one will come eat them, and then un-forbid them when my simple meals are gone.

Had a thought about how to fix this, was facing similar situation with my colony and trying to manage meals, wanted to stockpile fine meals for sale and only have my colonists eat the simple meals.  Wrote a topic on it but its off the main page now.

Was just thinking how I would like to be able to manage what foods my colonists eat or what drugs / manufactured apparel I want them to use / wear vs saving them for sale.

A quick simple fix would be the ability to trigger stockpiles as "Forbidden" and "Allowed".  This would not affect hauling TO the stockpile in question but would allow or deny colonists use of the items IN that stockpile.  Seems like it could probably be pretty easy to code as well, it would just be a matter of any item that is hauled to the stockpile is automatically tagged with forbidden if you have forbidden stockpile setting turned on.
