so mod author on steam workshop has been inactive for about 3 months.. and i have not gotten a response on workshop to get an insight regarding the state of the mod..

so what are known incompatibilities??

what about custom non-human mods, do they got faces as well??
also same with babies from the children and pregnancy mod by thirite??

I am guessing you are talking about alien race mods.  Alien Faces Expanded has some races in it.  I know because I helped the modder. I believe the face positions are in a set position.
