[B18]Editing Backstories

I've done a bit of googling but can't seem to find an answer, where on earth are the backstories hidden in the game folders so I can edit them, or is there a mod that lets you edit them for B18?

Many of the backstories were created by supporters of RimWorld, and are therefore intended to be "rewards" for those that supplied additional support to RimWorld during development.
As such, backstories are part of the C code of RimWorld, and not moddable in a direct and simple manner.

There was a mod (over two years ago) which was permitted by Tynan which allowed the addition of backstories, but it seems that it stopped being updated after Alpha 12.

(Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you wish to mod this in, or ask someone else to, it may be a place to start.)

If you (or anybody else) wish to make a similar mod, you would need Tynan's approval before releasing it.
If you (or anybody else) wish to update that old (pre-alpha-13) mod for use with B18, you must get the permission of the original mod creator, and Tynan's approval.

I must have missed that when I took a quick look for similar things.
(I just did a quick skim over, after all.)
In any case, there it is, a mod that does exactly that, in fact.
