Ceiling mounted turrets mod request

i would like to anyone who has the knowledge to make a mods a CEILING MOUNTED TURRETS for indoor under mountain base.. plsss

Is it simply the appearance you're after? Don't want raiders to melee them? Don't want it to slow down pawns? What kind of features did you want to see with these that differs them from just plain ole turrets? 

I've been thinking about making something like this in a mod I'm working on. It'll be some time before that gets released though.
Anyways, post like these should go under mods section if you want modders to have a look. Hope you find someone willing to work on it. Good luck!

Yep, ceiling might a bit unbalanced since hostile don't attack them.
But what about wall mounted turrets ?
Like the vent's or duct in/outlets from Redist heat, they just attached to a wall, and don't replace it.

Nice idea Canute, It's like sacrifice turret rotating angle for more efficient space.

What would be the difference to a normal turret placed next to a wall? Just another design and they don't slow down pawns? (Don't know Redist heat, so no clue how the suff works there.) Would you mind to explain your idea?

I'm currently working on a mod which improves base defense by giving more variety, but haven't thought about turrets other than placed plane on the ground.

The turret shouldn't replace the wall. It should sit on the wall.
So you can't walk over the turret, since the wall is still there. And still got the seperated temp. zones.

And if the turret get destroyed or explode the wall might still be there (depend on wall HPs).
