Ive been playing my colony for a bout 50 days now, i won't pretend to be any kind of expert and/or pro and/or vet of the game, but what i can say, is that my (heavily modded) colony thus far has gone both hilariously wrong, and right at the same time! The story has currently come to a natural climax and i thought it worth sharing a mildly dramatized overview of it!

Of the mods im using, the most primary would be the Rim of Madness series, Call of Cthulu Series , Mass effect Races, and  GeneticRift.

So this is a story of Pena, the colonist, her childhood friend, Jesper, the charity worker and the mysteriously placed cargo which is revealed quickly to contain the vampire, Stin of the bloodline of Tzimisce.

The vampire , awakening in a furious hunger first tries to jump Jesper, who suffice it to say is scared faeces-less by a half-mummified
vampire trying to give her the creepy crawlies ( if you know what i mean :P ). It is only after Jesper has beaten him sufficiently and he
has suffered two bullet wounds to the lend and a toe cut off, that he is slowed down enough to reason with, the two humans come to a
armistice, they'll build him a window-less steel room around his coffin, and in return for a steady supply of human blood, he won't neccesarily feed on them in their sleep, or allow them to be captured or killed by intruders during the night. ( at this point, i figured out how to make him 'vegetarian' to prevent his attack on them, via the interface. )

In the first 10 days, the world is mostly uneventful, during the day, the two mortals build and tend to the colony as they can, i of course headcanon that upon the research table they have left notes on their progress for Stin when he awakes during the night, a hour or two after they fall asleep from exhaustion.

The colony is built, a farm is established and during the night, the vampire goes out and feeds on local wildlife, a bear, some raccoons,
squirrels, rats , the like. After he drains them dry, he routinely guts and portions them in the butchery, and cooks ( he's an artist at the
counter :D ) them into a plethora of meals for the humans to have in the morning. The landing site they arrived at is heavily mountainous ( 350x350 ) with temperate forests and a high quantity of wildlife. In the name of defense, the humans during the day had blocked off several mountain passes to the north and south leading into their glade, forcing any visitors through bug-infested caves, to prevent attacks
and the whatnot.

Day 12: Three tribesmen appear from the east, bearing simple wares and armed with neolithic weapons. Two are killed, one is captured by
Stin, and in his eleventh hour, bleeding out from his wounds and catching an infection, he repents to Stin and joins the Colony of the Sabat.
Once he agrees, Stin saves his life by giving him a taste of his blood, transforming him into a Ghoulish servant and healing the worst of
his wounds and infection. So enters Hayhouse the ghoul.

Day 15: 4 more tribesmen appear from the east, one with a bow this time. They are picking up through caves, narrowly missing the infested portions, whether by luck or superior instinct, who knows. They have the upper hand, for Jesper has begun a journey to an eerie tree, and both Hayhouse and Pena are mightily preoccupied with building the new Jail building. They are approaching into the glade whence the sun begins to fall on the mountains the shadows lengthen, roused from his slumber by a sixth sense, Stin jolts from the building in the twilight, crisping ever so slightly, and latchs onto the tribesmen with the bow. The other three wail on him with blunt weapons whilst he feeds on the fourth, who falls to the grown, bled out and dead. He engages in combat, the pain of his burns urging him on, cracking the skull of one tribesmen, and biting the others eye out. To the third, he sinks his fangs into and drains dry, replenishing his lost blood, his wounds healing rapidly.
By the time they are all on the ground, dead , the sun has fallen and so Stin digs a mass grave for them, naturally pilfering their goods.

Day 16: Jesper returns, mildly insane with a dark grimoire.

Day 17: Jesper suggests beginning a dark cult around Stin, it is formed and named the Sect of the Shadow Lord ( referring to stin ).

Day 20: The new Jail is complete, with individual cells for 20 inmates, a central heating and lighting systems lent by a natural geyser built into the main hall. It stretchs several metres into the mountain, utilizing two steel gates as the primary entrance.

Day 22: members of the agency, apparent vampire hunters come by, inspecting the now-fenced compound. They find nothing of immediate suspicion, considering the jail a neccesary feature on a world with heavy alien populations. Just about to leave, one of their members enters Stin's crypt, finding his body in a slumber during the day. Alarming the others agents, Hayhouse levels an assault rifle to them from behind and opens fire, slaughtering the out-gunned out-armoured scouts. Their meat is used to feed the ghoul for several days.

Day 26: nothing much has happened besides the odd construction, farming, mining into the mountain.

Day 27: A party from a nearby Turian enclave arrive, well armed and scouting the region for supplies. During the evening, Stin picks a straggler off from the party, beating him unconcious and dragging him to the jail, the other two remain for several days, looking for their lost comrade, inspecting the compound, but the Jail is locked and they leave, up in arms about it, relations wane with the enclave.

Day 28: Hayhouse has taken to allowing the prisoner to attempt escape by opening all the doors, then shooting him. Again, and again. The turian has wracked up 8 patched gunshot wounds and myriad bruises and cracks, he is no longer concious nor can he walk. Stin, decides, in his immortal wisdom, to embrace the young turian and so becomes Juri, the Vampiric Turian model. Useless in colonial matters, he takes the task of hunting throughout the night for meat, whilst Stin manages colonial affairs, his crypt will be shortly built adjacent to the sunless crypt of Stin.

Day 31: the Sect has been growing , a chamber in the mountain has been carved out for worship of the Overlord. Work has continued on the perimeter , reinforcing it with metal fencing and barbed wire. Through the odd trader, the colony has stacked up a small-moderate stockpile of munitions in the event of attack.

Day 34: low and behold, a large caravan from a human settlement is passing through, the two vampires and the ghoul, sensing a opportunity to both use the Jail and gain a long-lasting blood-bag supply and fresh meat, begin preparing a suprise attack.

Day 35: The caravan wonders into nearby caves, losing three men to insects before destroying them with their vastly superior firepower. aproximately 12 members remain.

Day 36: The  caravan arrives in the colonial glade, and the fun begins. The two vampires, on the brim of darkness, assault the party and latch onto the first two members, embracing them. The humans and the ghoul provide covering fir,e distracting most of the other members. The result is a domino effect in which the two newborn vampires feed rapidly upon the remaining humans, the colonies defenders safely behind sandbags a distance away. Over the course of a day, the party and its muffalo's are reduced to corpses, some on the ground and many, many are moving. Unluckily for the defenders, one of the caravan members was a hidden werewolf, transforming into a hulking furred beast, which required both vampires to beat it until its legs were broken. The newborns are driven mad by a combination of burns, cuts, broken bones and sliced off parts and attack the defenders of the colony, including Stin and Juri. They are forced, with superior armour, experience, Disciplines and weapons to put down the 6 remaining new born vampires, they beat 3 to death, whilst the other three attack the mortals.

In a desperate bid to prevent infection, Pena launchs a rocket into their fray, splattering an array of blood and guts across the ground in smoking fashion. The dawn is rising, and unable to make it back in time , Juri, already severely weakened, is reduced to ash in the morning sun. The dawn rises to a bloodbath and piles of spent rounds and claw marks in the ground.

Day 39: The cleanup continues, Stin has refused to make any more vampires after the events of the attack, and the members of the colony are still traumatized and recovering from the battle. Hayhouse in classically comic fashion, is the only one making sanguine delight of the situation, he is also of course, making a meal of the field as a carrion would.

Day 40: To be continued....
