Cant find crash logs on Linux please help!!!

I cant find my crash logs. I have followed the guide for bug reporting and it tels me to goto user/.cfg folder. I don't have that folder.

I read in comments somewhere or replies that apparently if you launch through steam it doesn't produce a player.log file?

Is this true? Can anyone please give me some advice as I am desperate to play properly after setting up my system to dual boot and it has started crashing frequently again. Thank you.
