Can I make custom ambiance sounds?

I'm wondering if i'd be able to add .ogg files to the game, and play them in the background using the ambiance sound type. I've actually never modded Rimworld before, so I was hoping that this would be a learning project.
Basically, i'm wondering if I could add more ambiance sounds, like how music mods add more music. I'm also wondering if i'd be able to set perimeters for when they'd play (I.E Night, Spring, ETC)? I know nothing, but i'm gonna try to look up some basic things I need to know. Thank you for your time if you've read this!
