So when I click on the animals tab at the bottom of the screen I do not get to see the animals dialog box, where I could select training for the animals. Instead I see a little rectangle in the bottom left <--- corner of the screen, that looks either like an extremely small window that doesnt fit anything or the whole thing has been dragged off the corner of my screen somehow. This only happens on my current colony, I start a new one and it does not happen.

I hope my save file would help.

I had this same issue. It started after taming a 30th animal or so, right about when the animal tab would start to hit the top of the screen and require a scrollbar. I couldn't reproduce it in dev mode.
I also saw a debug log but didn't get a chance to capture it. This guy did though, and it looks the same as mine:

Pain, agony and mechanoids.

Thanks for reporting. It looks like some of your animals didn't get any name after being tamed. I've made Animals tab accept nameless animals so this won't cause errors anymore (after 1.0.1946). However I'd still need to investigate why the animals didn't get any name in the first place. Maybe an error occured in the self-tame incident. I'd need to see the very first error to tell exactly what happened. If anyone manages to reproduce it, then please attach the logfile.

Thanks, that makes sense since it is working now after I had to slaughter my muffaloes (I noticed one didn't seem named right).

Has anyone managed to reproduce the issue with animals not named right? They should always get a name after being tamed (either numerical or normal). I've tried the self-tame incident 300 times and it worked correctly.
