I attached a bionic arm to a body purist, Yul, by mistake. However, He just did not care about that.
But if I try to attach another bionic part, then the debuff will appear.

IIRC something being mentioned about this back in the 1.0 announcement thread. I've no idea if this is canon but it makes a certain amount of sense:

A life-threatening/crippling organ/limb replacement won't affect a purist (this may be limited to 1 part only; dunno), but body enhancement surgery /will/! So you can have purists with bionic (poss only prosthetic?) limbs/hearts, but not OP them by adding extras unless willing to counter the mood. Likewise trans are inversly affected

Dunno about purists, but trans get a mood buff for organics replaced by bionics, increasing as parts are replaced..
