Can this place be a spawn point in 1.0?

I mined that square and revealed an open path to the edge of the map. So i reloaded the save.

Right now i guess its impossible for enemies to come from there, but after its mined and the area gets exposed, will enemies be able to come from there? The area had a conection with the edge of almost 20 squares wide.

Yup, area revealed is the "rocks fall everyone dies" for a mountain fort xD  I once had 40 wargs spawn in like 10 squares
