[Mod Request] Guard post

I would really like to see a mod where you could assign a pawn to a location or a guard post to protect the other pawns while they go about their work.  If the pawn had a need that they had to fulfill (i.e. food or rest) the would do that and then return to the post.  Maybe if it was done with an object, such as a flag or a guard shack, the mod would be easier.

I also like the idea of patrols, but I'm concerned the enemy would pass through the protected area while the guard was patrolling another loction.

Hi guys. Know the post is a bit old but I've also been looking for a mod like this. I've had no luck exactly but I do have somewhat of a work around.

Firstly, use "Defensive Positions" (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=25535.0) and "4M Mehni's Misc Modifications" (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1366888108).

With Mehni's mods, you can set the draft system to max out at something like 24 hours until pawns automatically undraft. You can also set it so you only undraft for extreme mental break risks. I can't remember if they undraft to eat or whatever, but it does let you keep them positioned for a bit. Defensive Positions lets you set up "guard posts" for certain colonists or certain groups of colonists that will draft them and send them there. Such as having an 8AM call time where your colonists work the mines so you send your mining defense team to keep them safe.

It's not elegant, if they have to undraft for any reason, they won't return as guards themself as it's not a job giver. They won't return to that position and re-do anything so you'll have to manually draft them and send them back. But as a temporary solution it works. I use this strategy at mines at the edge of my colony to ensure in the event of a raid, my miners can run to the base safely while my guards defend them.
