Bills that let you craft until you have a certain number of a given item should let you specify a minimum hit points for an item to qualify.

Do item hit points affect a recipe in any way?
If anything you'd want the most damaged, oldest stuff to get used up first.

Wait, isn't that what it already does?

The below should keep crafting pants until you have 1 pair that is 51% or better, good or better.  From everything I've seen, that works.

Not the alpha launch, but the 1.0 Unstable build, I think. There are still a few features of the Better Workbench Management I'd like to see made vanilla, but that's one of the ones that was.
