I was just thinking about rimworld and that the game is soon to be at Alpha 5. Eventually, their could possible be Alpha 10 or maybe even 11. How many Alphas do you think their will be and when do you think Beta will come Around? Please share your thoughts about this in the comments Below. Thank you!

I'd think that a game should be still in Alpha when NEW things are still being added into it. After all the things are in, then it can go into Beta, which should not consist of anything more than rebalancing and things like that.
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

It could just go the way of minecraft and use the term while the game is still not finished and once ty thinks its ready move to the release or beta version

depends on how much Ty plans to add.

Prison Architect is up to Alpha 21 and the devs say it's possible it could easily go to 40.

the way Ty is releasing it the more alpha's the better as he tends to try release an update once a month

As I understand it, 'Alpha' is when the game is not feature complete, so for the duration of new features being implemented it will be in the alpha phase, once it is feature complete it will be bugfixed and balanced, this is the Beta phase, after this phase it will be considered either as a 'Release candidate' or a 'Stable'. Anyway this seems more or less to be the trend, obviously the real cycle is alot more complex.

There is no limit to the number of alpha's they could have.  As long as they are adding features they should be in alpha.  after it is feature locked then it will go to beta and then some day to release candidate.
