Old mods affecting clean install

I just want to play the unstable release but when I play this massive list of errors occur (even after many attempts to clean install). When I do then play the only events are solar eclipse, aurora and solar flare along with 1000's of falling ship chunks.

Hi,
is this your first version change you made with rimworld ?
You can't use your old mod with the unstable 1.0 version, you need to get new 1.0 mod versions.
And even with 1.0 mods it can happen that the daily unstable rimworld patch broke some of them.
So you should deactivate all mods at first, and try if vanilia rimworld is working or not.
When it isn't working, you can report it back.
And when it is working, you can slowly add 1.0 mods.

I have unsubscribed from all steam workshop content and the mods folder is empty

Locate the Config folder, and delete it.
From the option the button "open saved data..." if you use windows.
