Alpha 5 doesn't start at all

Did you have played alpha 4 and with a lot of mods active?
It may be, that one of the mods doesn't really like alpha 5 and prevents your game start.
Try to delete this file:
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld\Config\ModsConfig.xml
