How use Mortals?

When trying to launch the mortal nothing happens. I tried to set a person there but nothing that does not give. Sorry for bad english but i use translate google.

Serious answer:
Do not worry!  To use the weapon you must draft a colonist before right clicking the emplacement with the drafted colonist selected and the order to crew the position will be displayed.

Mortals are most useful when skills and talents include ethical constraints;  This prevents said mortals  aspiring to immortality for themselves and provides an endlessly renewable source of trolling opportunities for the whole immortal community.
