Hurricanes

don't know if this was suggested before but perhaps a extra challenge so let me discus the hurricanes first

Hurricanes: this would be easier to add most likely but if your living along the coastline or close to it you would have to worry about hurricanes what they will do is cause storm surge{flooding} and if strong enough will destroy entire settlements flooding would break apart certain materiel's  such as wood and the wind would break apart other materiels  and if pawns are in the storm surge they would drown killing them this would add a more strategic planning hurricanes would passe a certain temp threshold to develop  C1=60F C2=70F etc if you made the planet hotter hurricanes would be more intense and if colder less intense if any at all there paths would be random given factors some may hit land some may spin off north once they hit land they would travel along the hexes and lose speed and intensity and just die off into tropical depressions and dissaper 
you would be able to see its path right off the bat so you had time to plan and get out or get to higher ground the more intense the wind the faster and more materials break thats all i have for the hurricane section

Tropical depression 40-50F wind speed= 10=38 MPH
Tropical Storm 50-60F Wind speed 39-73 Mph
C1 Wind speed 74-95 mph
C2 Wind speed 96-110 MPH
C3 Wind speed 111-129 MPH
C4 wind speed 130-155 mph
C5 Wind speed 157 mph+
