Not sure if this is intentional or not, or already reported. Kind of weird for a dude with a knife to go face to face with an entire nest, over the naked crashlander he came here for!!

But raider arn't clever and prolly path the fastest way to your settlement.
Depend how you see it, you are lucky or unlucky (because you wanted to capture and recruit him) that the hive is on his way.

The first few raids are indeed special, but beside the low size they arn't special protected.
Then their path lead over a hive or hungry predator, there is nothing wrong.
