Alpha 5 won't launch only black screen (Solved)

wen i start the game all i get is black screen i tryed

I have had much the same issue, and i never played with mods running.
I havent played in a while, but for whatever reason i cannot play Alpha496. All old versions and saves have been deleted and purged from my computer's Recyle bin. Anyone know what is going on? I love this game dearly, but I may regret getting into the Alpha if i cant play it period now.

it cant be the OS tho... i played the game on Windows 8.1, and it works fine. try running it on administrator mode, or re download the game, also make sure your drivers are up to date.

it could be that you were using mods in alpha 4 and is messing up your game try deleting the file ModsConfig.xml
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld\Config\

i must note tha i bort the game in alpha 5 and i also tryed running it in admin mode

the only thing i havent tryed is updating my graphik driver as i get an error evrytime i try (ille keap working on tha part of it)

and if it helps my speck is

CPU:  Intel Core I7 4770, 3,40GHz
GPU:  NVIDI GeForce GTX 650
RAM: 16GB running Dual channel
OS:   Windowes 8.1

I updated my graphics drivers, rebooted and redownloaded.
and it worked.

Thank you, I was getting a black screen and this helped me out.  figured it was worth confirming to others who accidentally try to use outdated mods.

ok so i got my grafik driver updated but i still cant get it to work the icon come up but the is only a black screen withc nothing on it my pc isent frosen as i can see my mice marker and move it araund i cn also alt tap out of the pogram ther is joust a black screen any idear

i have not had any prier install of the game i got it wen it was in alpha 5 i tryed the bonus thing and the worked but not Rimwold
