How do I remove kidney and donate into another pawn?

While battling a bear my shotgun guy ran in front of my sniper girl and got his left kidney shot out as a result. I'd like to replace it, so come next dinosaur men raid I have opportunity I think. But how do we actually remove the kidney and place it in friend pawn?

Capture the enemy pawn, put him in a nice room with a prisoner medical bed, lights, etc.
Health tab, add bill, remove kidney.
When that is done you'll have a kidney, then on your hapless bear hunter do the same, only install kidney instead of remove. And of course use a non-prisoner medical bed.

Where is the kidney stored until I can install it, is it like any other item in the world, can it get damaged if it just lays on the floor etc?

Like horseshoes, every Rimworld is littered with sealed boxes to put organs in. The organs never deteriorate while in these boxes, though the boxes do deteriorate if left outside like other things do. When the procedure is complete the box with the kidney will just become an item in the world.

Ok I see btw do you know if I can replace a destroyed shoulder with bionics or prostethics? It seems that I cannot because shoulder is not available in the Fabrication Bench. (how does a human even function without a shoulder lol)

"Shoulder" is not an item you can make, but to repair shoulder, you'd install a new arm. So a prosthetic or bionic arm is what you're looking for, I believe.

EPOE adds artificial clavicles, if I'm not mistaken. Otherwise, you'd just replace the arm, to heal shoulder scars.
