Are Royal Beds Double?

If I build a Royal bed, will a couple sleep in it together? Or are royal beds only for bachelors/bachelorettes?

Double, I build one and my two demented master constructors and researchers, Rissa and Kars, aged 84 and 87 respectively happilly sleep there together :) also I just noticed the tooltip says "fits two".

A jade or gold royal bed would be more beautiful, although statues have higher base beauty anyways, so...
