Mod Update Megathread

Introduction
Hello and welcome everyone to this post. I am not sure if it is okay I post this here, so please move it somewhere else if it's wrong here.
So what is this?
I like playing RimWorld as much as like modding it. I used to mod different games aswell but now started to do it for RimWorld.
However, I noticed that alot of cool and awesome mods do not get updated to the current version. So here I am, offering to update every mod you guys ask for. There are certain limitations I will get to.
But now that you know what the main purpose is, lets clear things up bit by bit.

ATTENTION: Due to alot of requests lately aswell as holidays/vacation and work I might be slow on updating mods. I'm going to focus on mods that are easier and quick to update first, so if your requested mod is more complex it might take me a while. I hope this is understandable! [Edit from 01.01.19]

Who am I?
First of all, I go by the name of RDM Joker. 'RDM' being the team tag of my own team "Redeemer". A team spread across multiple games.
I used to create own mods for other games, mainly Skyrim and Darkest Dungeon. I now turned my attention to RimWorld modding.

What do I offer?
I offer the following:

  • Patching Mods to 1.0
  • Translating Mods from English to German and vise versa
  • Smaller mod requests*
  • Creating Compatibility Patches between mods
*only smaller requests for now, since I am working on my own bigger projects

Limitations
So there are limitations for requesting a mod to be updated or translated. Or requesting a compatibility patch.
Since I am working with content from others, I need to have permission from the original mod author to do so.
There are two options:

  • I update the mod, translate it or patch it and then im going to ask the mod author for permission
  • The mod author has stated that the mod is:

    • Open Source
    • Free to update and upload somewhere else
    • Anything like the above but it has to be CLEARLY stated by the original author
The second option is faster, since i do not have to wait for a permission, but most of the time it will be option 1.
Cause of that, I work on multiple requests at once. Everything im working on will be listed in this post. Everything that im finished with but for which i do not have permission yet will be listed below the first list.
And below that will be a list with links to the finished uploaded patch.

Requirements
There are some requirements a mod has to meet to be updated,translated or patched by me:

  • The mod cannot be only on the steam workshop!*
  • The mod is not allowed to be already updated somwhere, please check carefully!
*I do not own the game on steam and do not intend to do so in the near future.

How to request
So if you want to request a mod to be updated, translated or patched please do the following:

  • Check if the mod is already updated
  • If the above is a 'No' leave a comment here and tell me: [What you want me to do][Modname] by [Mod author]

    • If you want me to update the mod, please also include the current version of the mod
    • If you want me to make a compatibility patch, include both mods and their authors, aswell the current verison of them
If you are a mod author and wish for me to provide a translation, english to german and vice versa, or want me to update your mod, be it whatever reason, please write me a direct message and we can work things out.

Q: Are you currently working on something?
A: Yes.

Q: When will your own mod/mods be released?
A: When they're finished. Seriously. Please don't ask. They are gonna come.

Q: Is this all you do?
A: No. I work a normal job, am Gamemaster for a Dungeon & Dragons group and play other games.

Q: Why are you taking so looooooonnnnggggg .-.
A: Calm please. If it takes a long time to do your requests its either because I am drowning in requests, I am waiting for permission
    to upload or I have other stuff to do.

Q: Can you somehow be reached directly? To play games or talk about RimWorld modding and more special requests?

Small Legal Note
I am not uploading or providing any content without the permission of the original mod author.
The license for my own mods can be found on the own mod page of that mod, even if they are listed here.
I will take down anything that I've uploaded that contains work of others, if they tell me to do so. Even after they originally gave me permission.

Great initiative, there's quite a few mods abandoned before 1.0 that would be great to have back.

Cold Desert Nights:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=948483652 (provided because the author clearly state it might be updated, in addition it was released under the MIT license).

Reason: Cold Desert Nights does something that I've not seen any mod do, while there are several that allows you to change the temperature and weather none of them do it as seamlessly and on the fly as CDN. If you suddenly decide you want to try a harsh winter in a hot desert all you need to do is to go into the options and adjust a slider. If it turns out that wasn't for you, all you do is adjust the slider again. There's a lot more it does, including weather weight, ability to turn off the Rimworld firefighter response (if there's too much fire it triggers rain) and scale weather according to your preference.

It's invaluable both for testing and for actual gameplay.

Absolutely no need to apologize for that. Its a spare time kind of thing, both modding and playing and no one in their right mind would expect something like that to be updated within hours. So take your time.

I'm wondering if you would want to try updating the mod "Fitness", that makes only the Average body type show up in the game?

In the thread for it, https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=27580.0 mazacik states "License: Do whatever you want with this.". I also asked for an update in the thread, but mazacik has not been online here since November 21st.

wow, i was looking for such thing!

no-one is going to update it, its is already abandoned mod, creator if it do not answer any questions about it.
could you try update this mod? its essential when it comes to play medieval mods and game itself!

Bluntflame

Androids need to be updated. The owner stopped updating after B19. Also the Children and Pregnancy mod could be updated. That hasn't been updated since B18.

No need for the Androids mod. They just stopped posting to Ludeon.
