Why are pawns eating without a table- in their bedroom - a few spots from table?

This has been going on for a few revisions.  Is this a bug?  If not, why is this part of the game?  Makes no sense to me, why they would take food to bed, wake up, and not move 10 squares to dining room to eat their breakfast.

Or is this an attempt to get you to put a table in every bedroom?  Which seems bizarre to me...

Nameless

I keep seeing my colonist move away from the table and eat outside and get the debuff.

I have no idea why they keep doing that but its annoying as hell.

There could imagine some reasons.
- The table is just outside their search range for find a table.
- It might look that there are free spots, but maybe some pawn allready underway and reserved that spot.

I hate when they eat away from the table, then walk to it to sit down for social time.

I never got how pawns in the game could have such insanely bad reactions to such mundane things.
Then I came to the forums.

No for #2.  I have twice as many chairs as pawns.  As for #1 - I mean, how hard is for them to move a couple squares?
