Must designate haulable items

Hello, i did not find any thread on this issue so here is a new one.
I mined metal on the other side of the map. Everytime i build soemthing colonist will run there get the metal and build the thing. now i wanted them to bring everything to my stockpile. when i try to give the order on the metal, the game states "must designate haulable items" it works fine with rock and other stuff.

anyone got a solution?

Go into the Overview, set "Manual Priorities", and bump Hauling up.  If your stockpiles have empty space for stuff to be hauled to, then colonists with Hauling (and no higher-priority tasks) will haul the stuff.

hello, its no issue with the priorities because everything else is hauled pretty fine. the game itself doesn't let me designate metal to be hauled away like rocks or metal slug

You can't use the haul command to designate items other than Rock/Slag chunks for hauling. It has been like that for a long time.

You just have to have your colonists haul it on their own or click on them, right click on the metal then click on haul.
