I bought a colonist that gave up as a slave?

Has this happened to anyone else before? He went crazy and then walked off and then a few days later I bought him as a slave.

Did he leave the area or did he stay around? It could just be a coincidence of the random name generator picking the same name again.

He left the area, My base is in a canyon near the edge of the map so he left immediately.

What's their name? Are their stats and age the same? I've seen a lot of name-alikes, kind of annoying really but those are the creative rewards, but I've never seen a colonist leave and reappear as a slave.

His name was Trigger and he was a marine. I checked the stats it was the same.

Any character you make seems to enter a temporary database and may keep the same stats.

Got a rare 20 in all categories dude that I saw with raiders, tried to catch her but well...
