Game Saves Corrupted

Hello, I'll keep it short. When i downloaded rim world i started a new save game with (No Mods). I played the game on and off for a couple of days, Then one day i tried starting up the save and it said I had an error loading the game, i believe a map error. I am not really sure what happened. I am now playing a game with mods, but i have to keep backups just in case. What im asking is, why is this problem happening and how can i fix it.

normaly the safegame don't get corrupt on normaly vanilla gameplay.
But it can happen when there are problems at your side like
- volume full so the safegame couldn't be safed completly
- power failure while safe process or forced shutdown/turnoff of the PC
- volume got errors.
When the safegame is corrupt by any of this error, some data are missing and this safegame can't be restored anyway.
Since you ask, you maybe played at permadeath mode, maybe check the safegame locaction for an .old file

Wow im so dumb, i always force shutoff right after saving. I cant believe i didnt think of that XD.
