People not spawning when i load a new world

i currently have no mods installed and when i try to load up any scenario it starts up but nobody spawns in and the game ends shortly after
i have the game through steam and i didn't find anything on the forums there that would help and what i saw here was someone who was using a world from before the 1.0 update i think
a debug log does open every time i launch the game though (attached below) i have tried reinstalling the game a few times

that error show me that your got a remain version files remain at your installation.
Go into your rimworld installation,
Open the folder Mods
Delete the whole folder Core.
let steam repair/reinstall it.
