Along with Melee-Locking being obvious...

There is a Mechanoid Known as Lancers who are very deadly at ranged with their Charge Lances... But there very clumsy in Melee with their fists...

Also you could send trained animals to release on them or throw in a dude with his fists instead... There's a good reason why you would want to do that since their Charge Lances have a change to do a 1-shot kill compared to punching one in the face with a man told hit it with a butt-stroke with a rifle by melee-locking it...
