I would like to see some sort of illnesses, from cold to pneumonia.

Every character would have screen with with illnesses he/she had and got. On this you would see if he is immune to certain illness (Body build up antibodies). And effect that current illnesses have on him/her. For example:
Cold: Couching (Makes noise), Sneezing (Spreads)
Tonsillitis: Fever (Slowly losing life), Weaker (Works slow)
etc...

I know it would be hard to implement them properly, since every illness needs different spreading.
Also medicine buying/crafting would be hassle. Antibiotics for bacteria, Antivirotics for Viruses and Antiparasitic for parasites.

Illness could spread the planet, infecting animals and survivors on sight, provoking an outbreak...Or provoking "end-game" event unless the player buys anti-virus from traders and give them to colonist to prevent infection...Hoping this system to be added!

Or a plague that just forces you to shut out the world entirerly until it blows over, fall back into your little cave, and exile or execute the infected, (If you dont have not made a cure yet) put in some hard morality decision would be very interesting.

Illnesses would be a good way to add more story telling. Getting worse over time as you are exposed to more of the planets environment

Perhaps diseases have a different (hidden) cost to heal depending on: doctor skill + medical equipment you've built.

Also could have quarantine beds which ill people stay in until it's passed, cured or in a body bag. Plus have quarantine level setting e.g. 'hot room' doctor only comes into give them food to 'bed rest' anyone can visit but higher risk of it spreading.

An idea for illness and diseases because. It’s a new world and many humans living on the same place and sometimes cramped, this could lead up to crazy stuff.

Sand sickness
The patient diagnosed with this illness experience coughing, dizziness and get tired easy. At later stage the patients experience fainting and if left untreated for long period of time death. The sickness is obtained by sand particles stuck in the throat and lungs, breathed in during a sandstorm. It’s easily treated and is not transferred.

X5T2 Virus / Ship Virus
The deadly X5T2 Virus or Ship Virus have an unknown origin and is airborne. Patients diagnosed with this virus experience high fever, clothing, swollen body parts and severe abscess. The patient usually dies due to blood loss or lack of fluid. The Virus is treatable at early stage with proper medication and if left untreated patients are recommended to be put in quarantine recommendation when someone is diagnosed with this illness is to test every one.

Colony Fever
Colony Fever is an n uncommon disease. It appears on heavily crowded colonies were colonists share the same rooms and have cramped spaces. This fever is known to wipe out colonies. Patients diagnosed with this disease experience extreme fever. It’s treatable but it takes time.
   
Muffalo Fever
Patient diagnosed with Muffalo Fever experience High fever. This is caused by bacteria in the saliva of a Muffalo, and in rare cases airborne, it heals naturally but may also be treated with medication.

Infected Wound
In combat you might get an injury, these injuries can easily be treated with but if left unattended they can be dangerous.

Common Cold
Patient diagnosed with a common cold is recommended to rest until it is healed itself.
