Where did Merciless Go?

Hey forums, played for almost 1400 hrs but this is my first post on the forum lmao.

I only play on merciless (you can't go back), and I saw that the option for merciless disappeared when starting a new save cause you wipe a lot at that difficulty level, anyone else experiencing not having the option to play merciless? Savage isn't bad but it isn't as good as merciless. If it's gone for good, guess I'll have muster the courage use that mod to make the game even harder than merciless lol

I think there is an option on the difficulty screen to unhide it.
