hey there i was noticing a problem with plants dying off in some maps and animals being unable to sustain them selves on it.

i would suggest a simple mechanic to check for plants on a "somewhat" regular/inregular basis.

as in - when its raining

Rain comes - Checks to see how many plants are - if no plants then cause a blooming effect like that of deserts that suddenly get rain - and randomly spawn in plants

I would suspect this would be a "clean?" way to do it without bogging down the game with a constant checker to see if plant population is stable, whilst also adding a little realism to it - where a map for some reason just cant sustain plants until rain hits and then suddenly a brief moment of life and insurgence of wild life.

thats my idea - thanx-

Alternative solution:

Vegetation grows by spreading seeds around them. The seeds have an incubation period before they sprout and are fire resistant. After a wildfire there are still seeds on the ground that can help in restoring the vegetation.
