Summary:

Bug found on version 0.0.496.

Doctors of your colony will feed colonists needing rescue if they are hungry, like if they were incapacitated in bed.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Draft a colonist so he doesn't eat.
  • Make another colonist doctor with available food.
  • When the first colonist is hungry, use the Tool: Incap to knock him down.
  • The doctor will feed him.

Expected results:

Doctors should ignore incapacitated colonists needing rescue (or, in a better world, rescue them as soon as possible!)

EDIT : As replied below, auto-rescue is not a good idea with the current "YOLO" behavior of colonists! =p

Actual results:

Doctors will feed hungry incapacitated colonists needing rescue.

Notes:

It breaks my heart! Just imagine:

- Here, some food.
- Please, help me!
- No. =D
- ='(

QuotePersonally, I won't want auto-rescue to happen, especially in the heat of a battle and 'doctors' blindly and willfully walk into harms way to rescue others but may either die

This is actually what happened to one of my doctors because he tried to feed one of my incapacitated colonist in fights, this is why they souldn't feed them if they are not rescued.

By the way, for the "I don't give a f*" behavior of colonists, I will suggest an idea soon on suggestions.

EDIT: Here we go. The Safe zone

Some colonists will be so low on health they would not survive being rescued, so I think that's why they try to feed or "doctor them up" before attempting to rescue.
