Magical Menagerie

Features

Adds 12 new creatures to the diverse biomes of your Rimworlds, all of them based on mythological and magical creatures from different ancient cultures and sources. Similar to Alpha Animals, the philosophy of this mod is that every new creature tries to bring some new mechanic into the game, whether it be fire breathing cattle, acid and poison spewing behemoth, or faster than average steed. Some of the mechanics are simple, others much more complex.

Animals will spawn with different rates in different biomes, and should appear at the same rate as vanilla animals (wolves have been taken as a benchmark, not rats).

Bear in mind that spawn probabilities have been calculated with no other animal mods installed. If you have, for example, Animal Collab Project, less animals from this mod will appear, obviously.

Issues

There shouldn't be any. Balance is obviously always a concern, although it has been playtested. Feel free to tell me if you think something is too wacky.

First of All, Thank You! Like many other peps, your mods are always on my list, thank you for add another one.

Now, i want start with a few suggestions about the Unicorn, to make him different from the pegasus. They are symbols of good and purity. Insted of speed as unique skill they could have Regenerative Abillities!. Maybe a aura ou heal around that cures bleeding or something like it, maybe a good mood boost.

After his butchered the Horn maybe ingredient for a cool new drug. Maybe if joined with a Phoenix Feather could revive someone...Get It? Get it? XD

Anyways Sorry for the crap english, no even my second language. XD

Very much enjoying this. Can't speak for the balance since I went in to make the equines a little bigger, the sprites a little smaller, and in the end had accidentally Megafauna'd everything into huge, rare, deadly versions of the originals, but it's been a good time running from a bull-man the size of a house immediately after telling him he could eat people and the monstrous special abilities are great.
Looking forward to that Cerberus  ;)

I successfully tamed a Qilin but got a Manticore revenge on a tame fail. My colonists dodged almost every Manticore attack before the rest of my colony showed up and wiped it out. Since these animals are magic, do they have higher market values than base animals and some Alpha Animals?

Ooh!

I love mystical creatures! And shooting and hunting them with guns and taming them! Or to sic my tamed beasts on the raiders, another excellent mod by Sarg!

Also Looking forward for the Wendigo. They are one scary legend in their stories. :D

One "happy family" in the rims...
