Unable to install prosthetic leg

I don't see the option under operations. The person in question had her leg destroyed, I installed a peg leg didn't see the option to install prosthetic so uninstalled it and Still not there. What am I missing

I haven't researched the tech to craft the prosthetic if that makes the difference???

Do you have a prosthetic leg in a stockpile? Peg legs are just a bit of wood, not their own item, but you need the item for most surgeries.

At last for Bionic it made a different, i can't recall it for prostetic. One peg leg's don't need a research.
Just use dev tools to instant finish that research try it out, and reload the safegame.

Fairly sure prosthetic research is only for producing the parts, not installing them. After all, it's possible to get bionics from quests and such, and we can then install those. But naturally, if you don't have prosthetics of any sort, and can't produce them due to lacking the tech, then you can't install them either.

Than it must be somewhere on your map and it's forbidden likely and thus not allowing you to get it... Or you just don't have any it's likely destroyed by a fire or you accidentally sold it to a trader or something...

You didn't say if you had any prosthetic leg or checked if you had any! And if your using a hud mod like Dubs Mint Menus, it will take a while for it before it says oh hey you do have a prosthetic leg! Same thing can happen in vanilla sometimes.
