Wanting to make a few race mods and im looking for help!

hey so basically i was wanting to make some custom races from stuff like dnd and general fantasy (half orcs, tieflings, oni, yuki-onna) and others when the idea comes to mind so i was hoping to ask the community for advice on how to make alien races properly and for general tips as well because id like to do the mods justice with good quality content
