If I register RW on Steam, do I still get download e-mails?

If I register Rimworld on Steam, do i still get those e-mails with a download link when a new Rimworld version is released?

I bought the game a long time ago, before it existed on Steam & I really like the options of getting the files, but I would like some of the automatons that Steam provides (auto updates & mod workshop), but I really don't want to loose the e-mail downloads, that's why I still haven't registers on Steam.

I haven't found a clear answer to this in the FAQ or in the forum.

Yes.
But Tynan is lazy and didn't let sendowl send out new email's for any release.
But your download link never change, it is still the same like the one you got at your first time.

The system has been kind of iffy for a while now on both sending the emails and resetting the downloads. The good news is a quick email to the address found in one of the pinned threads and they will reset your downloads if necessary. And as Canute mentioned, your download link never changes, so just save your email.
