Tales from the Rim - A Rim World LP [Season 2]

Greetings! I am Modi Operandus and welcome to Tales from the Rim, my take on a LP series for this wonderful game. The series will try to focus on the people of the colony rather than mechanics of play, figuring out what makes our colonists tick, who they are, and what their life is like on the colony. If you're interested, please check it out. It should be a lot of fun, and I'd love to hear feedback on it.

With the conflict over, we now have 2 prisoners to convert to the cause, but maybe we aren't being persuasive enough. Let's fix that.

Meet our founders:
Season 2
Ernest 'Chef' Szoka (37) - Handy with a gun--deadly with a spatula!, Chef earned his nickname preparing meals for his father's mercenary crew. While still following in father's footsteps to life as a soldier for hire, he found his talents were best suited for the kitchen. Chef was able to see the world while cooking for a gang of mercenaries and learn many skills. Don't think that Chef can't handle a fight as well. He always keeps his sidearm close at hand, even when he's making a souffle.

Freya (64) - Freya's mother died when she was only 2. Left to raise her on his own, her father, a high ranking imperial administrator, thought it would be best to send Freya to a private military school. Freya learned a great deal of practical skills but the strict discipline of the school taught her to never question and only obey.  This left Freya with no aptitude for science or art, however due to her family's wealth and influence, her father got her a position as a Naval Scientist. The Navy's respect for her father allowed her to continue to work in the labs despite her short comings.

Kazuya Welch (53, Herbalist) - Deceased (Mining Accident) - Welch grew up in a small underground mining operation. He spent his formative years crawling around in caves and helping the miners seek valuable ores. One unfortunate day, the rocks caved in around him. Trapped, he forged for food among the rocks, eating mushrooms and herbs to stay alive. He remained there for until another mining team happened upon him. Welch was saved but his time alone in the dark changed changed him. First, he found he had an affinity for mixing herbs and healing poultices which lead him to become an herbalist in his adulthood. Secondly, something in Welch's mind broke while he was alone down in the caves. He no longer had any care for his fellow man. He became reclusive and cold, and many of the villagers near his home believed him to be dangerous.
