Hi I have been away from the game for a while and was enticed back with the new dlc.  when i reinstalled and bought the new dlc I saw that it had saved my mods, I try to launch it with saved mods and it crashes. I use the remove all function on steam workshop to get rid of all the mods and tried that way, again crashes and will not boot up to the menu.  I tried a couple things to fix it which I will include here.  I uninstall the game from steam and I went in and deleted both folders in:

\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\Ludeon Studios
Program Files (x86) \Steam\steamapps\common\rimworld

tried a reinstall and again it crashes.  I tried going into the folder and running the .exe file as an administrator but that failed. all I see when it starts is a loading rimworld logo with a red exclamation point on it, screenshot included below.  I ran a search and I found a Report.wer file (attached) in a crash report by windows. I will also include my pc specs, although its old, the game worked fine on it previously. The PC does have the latest drivers installed.  Thanks for your time and for creating such a great game!

PC: HP laptop
AMD A10-5745M APU 2.10GHz
8 GB ram 64 bit OS

Hi,
the rimworld logfile would be more helpful.
How to find it you can read at the sticky of this subforum.
And i would delete/unsubscribe all mods at first.

Cyruss

Log file attached, and I removed all the mods before uninstalling the first time.

Sorry, i can't say why Rimworld crash. The msg. don't say it clear for me with my knowledge.
But when 1.0 runs fine before and 1.1 don't i would point at your video card, that it can't handle the new unity engine anymore.

Maybe you geting a better responce from someone else.

It might be related to you graphics driver. That's all I can tell from this log. Try updating it and checking if other games work fine.
Also you may need to validate game files through steam, just in case.

Tynan

Yes it's crashing during graphics setup (between Unity, the OS, and the driver).

Make sure you have Windows 7 or newer, and your latest graphics drivers please!
