As far as I know, I installed it correctly.  I took the contents of the data folder from the expansion, and put it in the data folder in the rimworld directory.  Is there another step I missed?

Canute

Hi,
did you even try to read the messages ?
Basicly the are all about mods.
You just should delete the complete Mods folder, then you get right of the old 1.0 mods and the old Core (vanilla) folder which got moved from Mods to Data.
Then you can install fresh the 1.1 mods.

mattig89ch

I did read them, but they made no sense to me.  I have no mods installed.  This is a freshly downloaded install, from the Zip file.  I, quite literally, just unzipped it, put the royalty expansion in the data folder, and moved the contents into the rimworld folder.

mattig89ch

Ok, so I'm not sure what happened.

But, I simply deleted the entire mods folder.  Then ran the startrimworld.sh file.  Once I did, the game started and ran perfectly.

No idea why those errors were thrown in the first place, but...its good now?  Question mark?

Canute

You unziped it, but did you use a new folder like the zip file provide, or did you overwrite at your old folder ?
The error msg. show me that you prolly used your old installation folder.
That's why all the old mods folders are still at Mods together with Core.
Rimworld browser throw that Mods folder, even when you don't have any activate so far.

Since you wrote you have no mod's installed so far, it don't hurt you when you delete the Mods folder at your installation or the content inside Mods.

mattig89ch

Yea, I just overwrote the existing files from before.  But Since I didn't use any mods from before, I figured that there was nothing to overwrite in the mods folder.

I still overwrote that folder, but still.

Canute

This is what i said, these mods are remains.
And at the pre 1.1 version at Mods are Core, the basic vanilla gameplay, and Core moved from Mods to Data.
So why you don't don't take a look into Mods and see what you got all there. Alot of mods you unziped/used in the past.

mattig89ch

I feel like your not quite reading what I'm saying.  Or perhaps I'm not being clear.

Either way, let me re-iterate.  There were no mods.  There were never any mods.  I never, not once, installed a mod in Rimworld.

This is why I was confused.

Canute

Ok, you are right.
It was an overread at my side.
Since there was alot of similar messages, i didn't read them all carefully.
And now i just notice it is just about Core,Data.
So Core is a remain from the old installation.
But i don't know where the Data came from. There only should be Data in the Rimworld installation (not the _data) which is the new place for Core and the DLC.
