Can't Get My Nutrient Past Dispenser to Work (This Time)

Hello,

I had the Nutrient Paste Dispenser work several games ago when I built it, but I either have forgotten how to use it, I placed it wrong, or the rules have changed.

I have attached a picture.

Can someone tell me how to use it?

Try removing the chair. As far as I know there should be nothing in front of it blocking the way.

Yeah, they are supposed to just walk up to it, where the chair is, and it despenses like the old ice machines in 7-Eleven (7-Eleven having gone from the UK years ago)

I just test it out, a stool or chair don't block the pawn to get food from the NPD.

Other reason,
- check the food policy, are nutri meals allowed for their current policy ?
- zone restriction, but the hopper got filled so i don't think.
- there are berries (or similar) at your storage, they prefer berries over nutri meals.

Normaly your pawn's use them by their own, you can't force them to use the NPD.

Thank you for responding; I appreciate it.

It turns out, I didn't take the Restrictions: Paste far enough. I needed to go to another pull down and define what type of paste! Once I checked only the lovely Nutrient Paste Dispenser, then the little guys only eat from there. See attachment.

well, if there is better food and they are allowed to eat it, they will eat it. better food is basically anything that is not raw (including milk and berries)
