These are usually caused by the food being in prison area
try to disable all the prison beds in the room with foods if there is any
and if not you could attach the save file so someone can figure out what's causing it!

Oh thanks so much for that.  I had the same problem as the original post, but my colonists were eating raw food.  Their mental state went crazy and I had a couple of colonists go on rampages.  lost a decent chunk of my colony, but its all better now!
