What's after Rimworld?

Rimworld 1.0 was released a while back now, and because of all the mods made by all the modders, it's inevitable that the devs will soon no longer update the game. They will no longer update it and leaves the modders to their devices. After that, whether it be next Tuesday or next megaannum, Ludeon needs another game. So, what's next for Ludeon? Does Tynan have any ambitions and aspirations after Rimworld, or will we never elude the mystery bewildering us? What's after Ludeon?
Maybe this is all unimportant. Perhaps there will only be Rimworld. All the time, everytime. Perhaps Lord Tynan will only work on what matters. Perhaps Rimworld is eternal, and will never end, and maybe even become a major religion, create some theocracy in Bir Tawil that turns into a worse extremely, exceedingly, exceptionally, and extraordinarily better Somalia, where cannibalism, torture, murder, abuse of every kind, slavery, and other unspeakable atrocities like eating without a table is all perfectly and utterly legal, licit and lawful. Dozens of statues, altars, shrines, and other holy places will be erected in the crime-filled slums dedicated to Supreme Tynan Sylvester, Holiness from Above, Savior from Productiveness, Lord of Rimworldia, and a public library will be built with nothing but desks and computers and Rimworld in them. Only the elite will ever get a sliver of a chance to enter.

Wait, where did this monologue go?
The number of possible signatures there are might as well be, for practical use, infinite, yet I chose this one.

This started out as an interesting topic for discussion. Then the LSD began to take hold...

I think Tynan had a really cool idea and it became Rimworld.
My fear is that Tynan will not have another great idea. What were the follow ups to Minecraft by Notch, or Terraria by Redigit? Nothing. How about Toby Fox, who made Undertale? He is working on a sequel to Undertale. More of the same.  I fear there will not be another revolutionary game from Ludeon, though possibly a RW sequel or something very similar to RW.
My wish is that Ludeon becomes a big budget studio and produces Tynan's re-imaginings of all my favorite games. Examples=
Ludeon Fallout Scrolls: Be a combat engineer in a sci-fi utopia colony that you create from the inside. Plan defense against invading aliens, then participate in it first-person. Do quests for NPCs between attacks to improve their morale and strength.
Splinter Ludeon Cell: Group stealth survival. Plan out your infiltrations carefully, then send in your team to steal food and supplies from the enemy forces occupying your land. Build up your underground rebellion until they have the skills and numbers to assassinate the enemy leader. If someone gets caught, you have to decide if they are worth the risk of a rescue mission.
Cool Mod, Bro Everything in RimWorld doesn't have to be either brown or grey anymore: Now you can Pick a Color!

Hey i don't know about posting something right here since this might be interesting to add something into to the topic right here.

Since Rimworld Is Finally done with some tweaks in here and there with really neat stuff and made me play this game for hours without an stop.
Beating Terraria for hours that i played in Steam. Like 1,280 Hours! While Terraria has 547 hours played from my library!

I want to know if there is a Spinoff or a Sequel being planned for Rimworld... I have hopes and dreams about them but i fear that they may not match how awesome that Rimworld is...

I have some neat & crazy Ideas for them... That doesn't make half an sense! Like...

  • RimOcean World: Plays like Rimworld building a Colony. BUT IN THE SEA!! Crashland in a Oceanworld in a island, build a raft and turn it into a Titanic Battleship! Set sail in the seas and meet other traders and other faction's vessels and transport cruisers, you can Trade with them or Board and Raid their ships and take their stuff back to your boat!!! Fight Pirate Ships, Get Attacked by Manhunting Dolphins and Giant Squids! Find buried treasures in Islands or Destroy Outposts in the sea and Board Enemy Ships and turn it into your own or turn some of it into parts of your boat!

Become a Explorer, a Trader or a Pirate! Make your Boat and your Crew Bigger! Start from a Raft with some paddles to a Steamboat, and to a  Large Motarboat and eventually to a Large Battleship...

Meet other Outposts and Bases in the Ocean or in the Islands! Raid them and take their stuff or Trade with them and pit stops there! Meet Outlander... err... i mean Seafarers and Oceanic Seafaring Tribes, and Good Old Fashioned Pirates! Fight Events like Whirlpools and Tidal Waves and Storms or Hurricanes along with Toxic Fallouts!

Taking Inspirations from DS: Shipwrecked and Raft! With the ship combat heavily inspired from AC IV: Black Flag, Dreadnoughts and Dangerous Waters. If Rimworld is heavily inspired from Space Western and Firefly, Then RimOcean World is more inspired from Waterworld and the Golden Age of Piracy with a Sci-fi Twist with it!

  • Urbworld Chronicles: The Prequel to Rimworld! More focused in Tactical Real-time Combat in Urban Environments with a pause. You start in a Urbworld that's about to become gradually much more Deadlier and Worse when Riots are starting to pile up and there is a War with another government boiling in or a Civil War about to start and also the Crime Activity ratio is quickly rising up and becoming more violent, And now you have started plans to escape your Homeworld when you started hearing rumors of your government building a spaceship that can travel into space for a millennia and years to find a new world and that you heard tales of Glitterworlds where they are a paradise and a living heaven in itself and also heard that Glitterworlds are putting human rights high and above, unlike in the Urbworld where's basically zero which you are in now.

Start as a small group of people trying to escape the Urbworld, Fight other Gangs and the Police itself, Later you might encounter the Military and Private Mercenaries, Mega-Corp Security Teams and Mafia Families, Cartels or Crime Syndicates before Rioters and High-Grade Military Equipment gets thrown in to your enemies making them harder to fight and then eventually Mechanoids start to get being thrown into the mix.

Battle and Brawl in the Streets, Warehouses, Office Complexes, Malls, Highways, Subways, Parks and Mansions and other interesting combat scenarios and you can also try to sneak past your enemies getting the jump on them without any attention or just without any fight and bloodshed.

Or Make Alliances with other Factions and participate in Faction Wars or just get caught in a crossfire on a Corporate or Gang warfare! Try to quickly get into your destination to escape the planet before the War and the Riots escalate into deadly levels before it turns into a Nuclear War! Try to escape quickly before it gets worse as the game becomes harder and harder in this tactical-combat focused game!

Heavily Inspired by This War of Mine and borrowing the Dystopia Setting of Blade Runner and the premise of the Elysium 2013 Movie with the tactical Gameplay focus inspired by Jagged Alliance and Fallout Tactics! Can you escape the Urbworld before it turns into a Toxic world or a Glassworld?

I think it would be cool if some of the systems were inherited, such as the combat system. The only real problem I have with vanilla Rimworld now is that it is kind of inconsiderate when it comes to combining different kinds of weapons. For example, melee soldiers are needed to protect the ranged soldiers. It's "gamey" but only to a certain degree.

I would like to see different games based on different systems from Rimworld, like one of the prototypes before Rimworld but refurbished. Also, your ideas are great. I would like to see some kind of urbworld shooter, where you play a band of urbworld criminals looking to get off the planet.
Features everywhere!

Thanks @ToXeye  :D

I kinda did based Urbworld Chronicles on one of Tynan's older games such as Tactical Game - Escaping Insanity, i didn't play it, but i did watch some of it in Youtube and also saw one of Tynan's tweets on one of his prototypes such as Mercenary management sim.

I would some day want to see urbworld criminals or refugees trying to escape the urbworld to get to a glitterworld as it's premise for a game using tynan's prototypes, that how i got my idea with urbworld chronicles along with borrowing some stuff from the fiction primer and rimworld's lore.

If there is a new game from Ludeon/Tynan (most likely when), I hope the strengths of RimWorld are retained. The multi-levelled freedom and the "story generator" aspect. Let people's imagination run wild, and let them choose how they want to play the game themselves.
