[1.2.2753] New Persona Core Item?

I got an item from a quest called a "Persona Core" which doesn't seem to exist anywhere on the wiki, although similar is the "AI persona core" who's article hasn't been updated for more than a year.

What are it's uses? I assume it can be used to build a spaceship, but is there anything else?
