Updating Rimworld on Steam

So I've tried finding a solution to this problem, but it seems like the Venn diagram of people who create this problem and people who don't know how to solve this problem is pretty small.

I followed Roll1D2Games' guide to save a modlist and stop Rimworld from updating on Steam in preparation for 1.2 (I wanted to keep playing my save after 1.2 was released.

HOWEVER, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get Steam to update Rimworld again. In the Steam library it just has "Rimworld [1.1.2654]" printed. At this point I've tried setting the update setting to "Always keep this game up to date" and uninstalling/reinstalling the game. I have not been able to find the original Roll1D2Games guide that I followed into this predicament.

Any help would be appreciated.

Figured it out. For anyone curious I opted out of all beta programs.
