Buying Royalty on Epic Base game on steam

Assuming I can buy the Royalty DLC on EPIC platform without having the base game on same (I have the base game on Steam).  Can I use the DLC from Epic with Steam base game?

(I have a voucher for Epic store that I can use on the DLC).

Should work, Royalty is just a big Mod that is placed into Data instead Mods folder.
But you could buy it over the website too, and get a free steam key.

Thanks, that was my hope.  I have a £10 off voucher on the Epic store i can use against the DLC, otherwise the web-page/Steam would have been my first choice.

Addendum: It is not possible to buy the DLC on Epic if you don't also have the base game on Epic.  Burned the coupon on ONI instead.
